Tour Initiary

DAY 1

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, check-in at the hotel, and a briefing on the itinerary. Afterwards, we will tour Ulaanbaatar. Visit the famous Gandan Monastery with its large Buddha statue. Tour the former Winter Palace (Bogd Khan Palace). In the evening, you will have the opportunity to experience Mongolian folklore.

DAY 2

In the morning we will be picked up by our driver at the hotel and start heading west on the way to the sand dune Elsen Tasarkhai there

DAY 3

We continue towards Arhangai Province. Here we will see Taikhar Chuluu. Taikhar Chuluu is a coarse-grained granite outcrop in the valley of the Tamir River in the Ikh Tamir Soum, Arkhangai Aimag, and a site rich in ancient inscriptions.

DAY 4

We continue to Khorgo-Terkh National Park. A trip to the 8,000-year-old extinct volcano is a must. From the crater rim, you have a wonderful view of the entire surrounding area.

DAY 5

Today we drive to the Ider River, where we spend the night in tents.

DAY 6

Next, we drive to Zavkhan Aimag, where we see Khar Us Nuur. Khar Us Nuur is Mongolia's second-largest freshwater lake. We spend another night in a tent under the Mongolian starry sky.

DAY 7

Next we drive to Erdenekhairkhan and spend the night in a tent amidst the beauty of nature.

DAY 8

Today we drive to Dörgön Soum, Khovd Aimag. We'll camp there overnight.

DAY 9

First, we drive to the city of Khovd, the capital of the province of the same name. Khovd is known nationwide for its delicious melons. We visit the local market.

DAY 10

We continue to Lake Tolbo. Lake Tolbo is a freshwater lake in Tolbo, Bayan Olgii Province, Mongolia.

DAY 11

Today we will arrive in Ulgii, Mongolia's westernmost city. Ulgii is 1,636 km from the capital, Ulaanbaatar, and lies at an altitude of 1,710 m.

Today we drive to Khoton Lake. Khoton Lake is a freshwater lake in the Altai Tavan Bogd National Park.

DAY 14

Today we drive to the Altai Tavan Bogd, home to the Five Kings Massif (Five Peaks with Eternal Snow). The highest peak in the massif is Huiten Mountain, which reaches 4,374 meters. The surrounding area is the coldest region in Mongolia. Even in midsummer, snowfall is not uncommon here.
